As a Senior Sales Engineer for Splunk solutions, you will be part of a world-class pre-sales team that provides technical and thought leadership of Splunk’s solutions to the sales organization and to Splunk’s prospects and customers. You will get to work directly with customers while acting as the domain expert across Splunk’s portfolio. A global team that collaborates constantly to share knowledge and continuously advance our technical capabilities and knowledge and share them with the community. Able to answer technical inquiries from customers regarding Splunk technology, features, solutions, applications as well as eloquent Splunk technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

 

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

· Must be able to identify all technical issues of your assigned customers to assure complete customer happiness through all stages of the sales process, and you must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customers and partner’s technical staff.

· Ability to demonstrate Splunk value proposition to customers and partners on-site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows

· Experience responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs is also relevant.

· Be comfortable working with customers to help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor.

· Strong presentation skills and able to communicate clearly and expertly.

· Ability to be organized and analytical, and eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.

· Be successful working with all levels of an organization from the C-suite down to individual developers and SREs

· Willing to travel to visit partners and customers when required.

Job Requirements

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

· Demonstrated ability in selling and supporting software products to IT organizations

· Experience in delivering sales and technical enablement workshops or webinars to customers.

· Proficient in either Security, IT Ops, or Dev Ops solutions.

· Experience and familiarity with IT management products and services.

· Experience with networking, server, application, and development technologies.

· Relevant software proven experience in the following: IT Operations/Solutions, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, DevOps, business applications, and/or analytics. Subscription, SaaS, or Cloud software experience is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of current infrastructure and application monitoring solutions in the industry.

· Experience in systems or Cloud administration: Windows, Linux, AWS, GCP, Azure (certification is always a plus!)

· You should be comfortable working for a multifaceted technical organization with a fast-growing partner and customer base.

· Will be supporting Regional markets and hence it would be helpful to have knowledge of Bahasa or any other South East Asian languages

 

How to stand out :

· Experience with containers and orchestration: eg. Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift, or other containerization-based technology.

· DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience.

· Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup-style environment

· Experience with leading and running proof of value engagements from prioritizing to execution to executive presentations.

· Relentless Curiosity - with a desire to question, research, learn, and grow (on repeat)

· Nimble learning - ability to quickly grasp the essence of new issues and concepts

· Collaboration - work across teams in a highly matrixed organization

· Influence - navigate through stakeholders and power players, and build credibility and trust with them
