The Regional Account Manager reports to the company founder and director (ex-eCommerce Architect at Razer and ex-Digital Marketing Manager at Unilever) and plays a key role in driving acquisition and retention of our B2B service offerings in providing customised learning solutions that bridge skills gaps and drive culture change. This is a role for aspiring sales engineers who wish to work close to the tech and adult education industry with clients/partners like GovTech, Maxis and Amazon.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a few years of Sales, Customer Success, Business Development and/or Account Servicing experience. This is a hands-on role which requires excellent written/spoken communication and problem solving skills. We are looking for someone perceptive and thoughtful who can hold a meaningful conversation and negotiate with a VP level executive.
We are a small and fast moving technology-enabled Education startup in Singapore and Malaysia. Only experienced candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience will be interviewed. Relevant experience includes Enterprise/SMB Sales, CRM, Events and Partnerships.
This role is only open to Singaporeans/PR and Malaysian applicants who have experience working remotely. Professional language competency in Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu or German preferred.
Modest base salary with generous commissions and bonuses.
The account manager will be involved in:
- Qualify, nurture and manage up to 20 accounts in the APAC region (including Maxis and clients through our partner Amazon Web Services) [30%]
- Maintain a high volume of business development activity including outbound calls, emails and social selling (e.g. virtual/physical events) with a focus on generating new business within our existing customers & new prospects with our marketing team. [20%]
- Build strong relationships with customers and prospects through delivery of online and in person sales presentations, illustrating strong product knowledge and solution selling best practices. [15%]
- Update digital and physical sales kit and monitor our competitive offerings to SMBs and Enterprises. [10%]
- Strategically prioritise and target key accounts and sectors to close new business, leveraging marketing support team, software automation tools (e.g. Copper CRM) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. [15%]
In 30 days, you will learn our solution selling process to enterprise and SMEs and craft engagement opportunities for business development.
In 60 days, you will be running through our combined leads of existing contacts and executing an account based management (ABM) strategy while kick starting community events.
In 120 days, you would have created a systemic sales engine and won your first few enterprise clients for CuriousCore and generated extra sales commission for yourself.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritise key accounts and prospects to build effective sales relationships.
- Maintain records of contact with Enterprise & SMB clients with their needs and any further actions that may be required.
- Provide details and negotiate on the terms of sales.
- Respond effectively to the client's queries and objections, and disseminate information about clients and their buying needs promptly and accurately to relevant people within the organisation.
- Apply critical, conceptual and systems thinking to assist in the process of designing learning solutions and client interventions for change to happen.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and manage customer success with key clients and accounts.
- Develop proposals in accordance with the organisation's standards and guidelines.
- Develop and deploy relevant presentation aids, materials and examples to facilitate the target audience's understanding of key concepts and ideas of our unique change management process.
- Empathise with our clients and prospects organisation challenges and ambitions for change while being a good learning solutions partner.
- Evaluate the products and services for potential improvements that may lead to growth in sales or market size.
- Develop client service plans to support customers.
- Handle client's feedback and provide suitable sales solutions to maintain and enhance relationships with customers.
- Identify and assess the marketing opportunities and threats to the organisation.
- Use social selling strategies and software tools to drive greater results and better value for prospects and clients.
